Macron to Congress: Who Was the Real Alpha Male?

Much was made of President Donald Trump's gesture of brushing a bit of dandruff off President Emanuel Macron's jacket. This certainly looked like a clever little way for President Trump to establish dominance over President Macron while appearing to be solicitous.

If this was intended to intimidate President Macron, it obviously didn't work, as Macron delivered a well-publicized speech to Congress in which he forcefully yet tastefully criticized America First policies while defending the Paris climate accord.

Macon's speech was backed with arguments and appeals to tradition. As I mentioned earlier, Macron's arguments left conservatives sputtering in frustration, for no conservative can plausibly criticize tradition.

Once again, a good speaker proves that good, solid content beats superficial little tricks every time.
